Click here to contact Jason DeVoreLegal Experience: Mr. DeVore has focused his practice on insurance coverage and litigated matters. His practice is comprised of all facets of first-party and third-party insurance coverage litigation throughout the United States.
He has represented insurers and insureds in coverage litigation involving tenders of defense, triggers of coverage, allocation, professional liability, commercial lines, personal lines, umbrella and excess coverage, truckers liability, construction defects and accidents, automobile accidents, claims related to liquidation and dissolution, and insurance pooling agreements. Mr. DeVore has advised numerous clients regarding bad faith insurance coverage practices.
In addition to his coverage practice, Mr. DeVore has broad-based litigation experience. Mr. DeVore has handled a variety of complex litigation matters, including catastrophic losses, water intrusion, fire and arson, environmental contamination, and large-scale subrogation. He has also litigated cases involving construction defects, negligence, breach of warranty; automobile accidents, breach of contract, and premises liability.
Professional Memberships: Mr. DeVore is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
Publications: Mr. DeVore co-authored "Making Waves with Water Intrusion Mold Claims", Trial Journal of Illinois Trial Lawyers Assoc., Summer 2004. He also co-authored "To Appeal or Not to Appeal . . . An Insurer's Duty to Appeal an Adverse Decision", IDC Quarterly, 1st Qtr 2000.
Education: Mr. DeVore received his Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts with a Business Management major from Central College in Pella, Iowa.
Admitted to Practice: Mr. DeVore is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has also been admitted, pro hac vice, for matters pending in Missouri, Washington and Wisconsin.
