Legal Experience: Ms. Dashiell has extensive experience as a trial attorney in the area of insurance defense. She has successfully defended numerous arbitrations and civil jury trials. She focuses her practice in the defense of personal injury cases including food products liability cases. Her background includes a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of federal preemption law in the area of products liability, the results of her research having manifested in an unprecedented Seventh Circuit court opinion, Miles, et. al. v. S.C. Johnson, et. al., 2002 WL 31655188 (N.D.Ill. 2002). Ms. Dashiell has also served as a guardian ad litem in emergency shelter hearings.

 

Professional Memberships: Ms. Dashiell is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

 

Publications: Ms. Dashiell is the author of "Thermal Imaging: Creating a ‘Virtual’ Space," 34 The University of Toledo Law Review 351 (2003).

 

Education: Ms. Dashiell earned her J.D. cum laude at the University of Toledo College of Law where she served as an Assistant Managing Editor for the University of Toledo Law Review. Ms. Dashiell earned her B.A. in History with Honors at the University of Michigan.
